How Much Do You Want Heaven?

We always think of Heaven as a “happy place”, and we say to ourselves “yeah that’d be a pretty good place to be”. But that down plays so much what Heaven really is. Too often I find myself with the mentality that Heaven is down the road; that eventually I will have time to fully prepare myself to get to Heaven, and I’ll just make due with what I can now.

But that is such a dangerous mentality.

You are going to die.

We have to come to terms with the reality that we can die at any given moment. We have to be ready for Heaven now. So ask yourself honestly…what would you do to get to Heaven? Are you ready to say “yes” to whatever God may ask of you? Would you give up your whole being if it means sharing eternity with God?

Yes? Then prove it.

Live now with God. Live now for God. Make God the source of everything in your life. Do everything for the greater glory of God. Show people about Christ. Serve people. Deny yourself. Take up that cross. Respond to the Lord’s command to rise from your grave. Do not be ashamed. Do not be afraid. We are His hands and feet. 

Live your life as proof that the Almighty God came and died for you. Live your life as a Saint.
